Many of the BS-MS graduates from the IISERs have done exceedingly well moving on to Ph.D. programmes in India and elsewhere. IISER graduates have joined leading Universities including Oxford, Caltech, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT, Princeton and the Max Planck Institutes. The BS-MS graduates have also found success in various fields outside academia.
Ph.D. students from the IISERs have become faculty members in other institutes of repute in the country. Some have taken up research positions in the industry while others have gone on to rewarding and challenging positions outside academia.
